For 2010, Gretsch has added a striking Mocha Fade gloss lacquer finish to the popular Catalina Maple series. The Mocha Fade finish features a deep coffee color on the batter side that fades into a natural maple gloss on the resonant side. As an added bonus, the shell pack (MC-E825PT-MOF) includes a FREE 16x16 floor tom.

Catalina Maple drums feature Maple shells with natural interiors, 6-ply tom shells, 7-ply bass drum shells, 9-ply snare drum shells and 45-degree bearing edges. Like all Catalina Maple kits, this Poly Urethane finish involves a multi-step process that includes two kiln curing sessions and intense hand buffing. Retail: $1155
